Laura L. Casey has utilized her two decades of diversified experience within the health care industry, to publish How to Get the Health Care You Want.

She presently works for a large radiology practice, managing 90 people responsible for all functions relating to revenue cycle management. Three-and-a-half years prior to this, she was the president of Laura Casey & Associates for over seven years, where she offered physician practice management consulting to physician group practices, ranging in size from two-physician organizations to 100+ physician MSO environments. Much of her consulting work revolved around business operations, organizational structure, systems design and project facilitation. Her exposure was national and she has direct expertise with primary care physicians and most of the sub-specialties.

Earlier in her career she worked for Athenahealth in Massachusetts, Vitalworks in Georgia, IDX Systems Corporation (now GE Healthcare) in Vermont, and Step Saver Data Systems in Philadelphia. She had been involved in sales, management, software training, and consulting.

Though Laura has interacted with hundreds of health care systems professionally, she has had numerous personal experiences, both as a patient and advocate for immediate family members. The combination of these experiences rounds out her expertise as author of How to Get the Health Care You Want.

She earned a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey and is a Cum Laude graduate of The Peddie School, Hightstown, New Jersey
